The month of December brings a lot of warmth, hope, and glad tidings. To spread the message of love and good cheer, Gaurs International School, Yamuna City celebrated a spectacular carnival on 24 December 2022 on the occasion of the world’s most loved and celebrated festival, Christmas.
The programme began with the traditional custom of welcoming guests, with welcome greetings presented in a peppy, sing-song manner. The nativity scene, synonymous with Christmas, was beautifully enacted through a skit, accompanied by a vibrant choir group that sang carols depicting the birth of Christ.
Students performed a variety of jingles in bright and elaborate costumes that were a delight to watch. Their melodious singing created an atmosphere as if angels had truly descended on earth. Respect for community helpers was thoughtfully showcased by the tiny tots dressed in relevant attire.
The children danced to perfection, enthralling the audience with their rhythm and coordination. Shimmering props enhanced the visual appeal, and the grand entry of the little Santa Claus dancing to the beats of music added charm and excitement to the celebration.
Adding further beauty to the event, students were adorned with the ‘Star of the Month’ titles by the Head of the School, Ms. Jyoti Mehra Kacker, serving as a source of inspiration and motivation for their academic excellence, behaviour, and spirit as true Gaurians.
The programme concluded with the ‘Sunshine PTM’ on a superb and fabulous note. All in all, it was a fascinating, incredible, and awesome Christmas celebration.
