On 23rd September 2025, Gaurs International School, Yamuna City, organized an impactful Substance Abuse Prevention Workshop for students of Grades 8 to 11 under the guidelines of CBSE.
The workshop aimed to create awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and empower students to make informed and responsible life choices. Through engaging discussions, real-life examples, and interactive activities, students learned about:
- The dangers and consequences of substance abuse
- Commonly available substances and their harmful effects
- The impact of substance abuse on physical health, mental well-being, academics, and relationships
- Practical refusal skills to confidently resist peer pressure
Students were motivated to move forward with clarity, confidence, and commitment to a healthy, substance-free, and academically focused life.
